WHO WE ARE

GARY MAXWELL
PRESIDENT
Gary S. Maxwell recently retired from Whippany Actuation Systems, a TransDigm company. He is a Supply Chain professional with over 30 years of experience in leadership positions across several multinational companies including IBM, Honeywell, Philips Lighting, and the Cytec Solvay Group. He is passionate about continuous improvement and helping others succeed.
He was an Advisory Board member for Rutgers Business School’s Center of Supply Chain Management. Gary is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt who holds CSCP, CIRM and CPIM designations from the Association of Supply Chain Management (formerly APICS).
Mr. Maxwell is also an entrepreneur who continues to provide housing solutions for low-income families in New Jersey’s Essex County. He is an active volunteer with the Habitat for Humanity, a non-profit organization that helps families build and improve places to call home.
Gary has tutored and mentored students throughout high school, college and his career. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from New York Institute of Technology and an MBA from Columbia University. He resides in NJ with his family.
SHEREEN JONES
VICE-PRESIDENT
Shereen Jones currently serves as the Group CIO of the Jamaica National Group where she is tasked with overall responsibility for Information Technology across the JN Group. She has over 30 years of experience in IT, spanning multiple industries with significant focus on financial services, and has managed engagements in several countries, both regionally and across three continents. Over 17+ of those years have been in executive positions within the financial services sector.
Shereen has served on several boards including inter alia schools, government agencies, small businesses and non-profit organizations. She has been an active volunteer over the course of her career and has worked with tertiary institutions and regional institutions in teaching and/or developing course material related to the ICT industry.
In October 2013, the Jamaica Computer Society presented her with a lifetime achievement award for outstanding contribution to the ICT Industry.
She is also very active in her church and has a passion for giving back to her community and her island home. She participates in activities that are focused on developing youth and giving back to her community as she believes that an educated and healthy population are essential to nation building.


SARAH HILLARY
DIRECTOR
Sarah is a Partner at a large professional services firm in the UK, with over 25 years’ experience in advising clients and helping them improve their governance, risk and controls across a variety of sectors including government, large corporates and charities. A Chartered Accountant with an MSc in Corporate Governance and Business Ethics, she is known for her integrity, clear communication and ability to support organisations in building strong, sustainable governance and risk cultures.
Within her firm, Sarah leads the firm's work on Equality, Diversity & Inclusion providing clear vision, influence and action on gender balance, ethnicity and many other areas. The impact of this work was recognised with the British Diversity Award for UK Company of the Year in 2026.
Sarah is deeply committed to widening educational access and supporting young people to build strong academic foundations having experienced first hand the value of her quality education in Jamaica.
Alongside her role with Giving Jamaica Chances Inc., she is a Trustee of Kidney Care UK, a patient centred charity.
She lives in the UK and has two grown‑up sons.
PAMELLA DALEY-TOMLINSON
DIRECTOR
Pamella Daley-Tomlinson is a retired public sector leader and former Director of IT Asset Management (ITAM) at the New York City Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA). With over 30 years of experience in public service, she led the strategy and day-to-day operations of IT hardware and software management across all subsidiary agencies of the MTA.

Throughout her distinguished career, Pamella played an instrumental role in launching and supporting various technology initiatives and events that highlighted innovative technologies designed to strengthen and support MTA operations. Recognized for her ethical leadership, professionalism, and approachable nature, she is known for her ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a clear focus on the bigger picture.

A highly effective communicator and relationship builder, Pamella is passionate about motivating and inspiring others. She has a natural ability to bring people together, fostering connection, engagement, collaboration, and personal growth. Her dedication to mentorship, outreach, and community impact continues to guide her work and service.

Now retired and residing in Florida with her family, Pamella remains deeply committed to community building and creating lasting opportunities for students and underserved communities. She previously served as a Board member of the Jamaica Organization of New Jersey and volunteered with the Women in Transportation Seminar (WTS), where she championed initiatives focused on outreach, leadership, and empowerment.


FIONA BOWEN
DIRECTOR
Fiona Bowen has worked in the travel and tourism industry for more than 30 years and currently serves as Senior Membership Manager at the Association of Canadian Travel Agencies and Travel Advisors (ACTA), a non-profit organization based in Toronto. Her career spans both retail travel agencies and tour operations, including 24 years of dedicated service with ACTA. Throughout her tenure, Fiona has been a strong advocate for Canada’s travel advisor community, bringing extensive industry knowledge,
leadership, and an unwavering commitment to member support and advocacy.
Fiona is passionate about empowering travel advisors to grow and succeed in their businesses. Known for her collaborative approach and genuine dedication to elevating the profession, she is a trusted resource for ACTA members and a driving force behind initiatives that strengthen and advance the travel industry across Canada.
With a deep commitment to helping members, students, and individuals achieve their goals, Fiona is also a valued mentor who believes strongly in the power of education and opportunity. She is a graduate of the Travel and Tourism program at Algonquin Careers Academy in Ottawa and the Hotel Management program at LaSalle College in Montreal.
Fiona spent her formative school years in Mandeville and maintains deep roots and strong connections within the Jamaican community and culture, both in Jamaica and Canada. She is passionate about giving back and inspiring Jamaican students to pursue their dreams through education and personal growth.
RICHARD BARNETT
DIRECTOR
Technical consultant (Master Technologist) employed at Hewlett Packard Enterprise for over 25 years. Have been working in the IT industry (Digital Equipment Corp., Compaq Computers and HP) for over 30 years on hardware development of various products including hand-held, notebook devices to high performance super computers and managing various aspects of supply chain operations.

A graduate from Polytechnic Institute of New York (NYU Engineering) with a degree in Chemical Engineering, followed by advanced course work in materials science and general business management.

Over the years I have been involved with multiple projects that were focused on helping those in need or less fortunate; assisted learning for inner city kids, feeding the hungry and few other related efforts. The opportunity and interest for joining this board provides for a more active role in assisting and participating on an effort that's focused on improving the health and well-being of people and communities in need. I look forward to lending my pragmatic approach on challenges, to assist in formulating plans that can provide help to others.
