Earlier last month, a team of past students from Manchester along with their friends
represented Giving Jamaica Chances Inc (GJCI) by participating in a Jamaican Hi-5K Walk/Run Charity event in Miramar, FL.
The GJCI team quickly recognized the importance of the charity drive and the opportunity to
help raise funds for the four Health Clinics previously adopted by the Jamaica Hi-5 charity.
With their unwavering sense of dedication and commitment, the team completed the 5K event with great enthusiasm, making an impact towards the cause.
Joined by his lovely wife, Peter Cahusac, a member of the GJCI team, expressed that seeing
former classmates brought back fond memories of inter-school competitions and the annual
"Sports Day" events he experienced during his time at Belair High School.
Through their participation in this noble venture, the GJCI team has brought awareness to theimportance of financially supporting Jamaica High School students in need. Their spirit of
volunteerism, teamwork, and community service is truly commendable, and we appreciate
their efforts. We hope that more individuals and groups will come forward to support such
noble causes.
On behalf of the GJCI Board members, we applaud and thank everyone associated with our
cause and mission for their valuable contribution. You are true inspirations, and we wish you
continued success in all your future endeavors.
